What is blu ray tv? Is it the same as HDTV?

Blu-ray is one of the newer DVD standards for higher definition recordings onto DVD or digital video disc. Similar to beta & vhs, there are two standards being launched & supported. Sony is the one supporting & one of the creators of the blu-ray standard. Hope this helps.
