I don't know much about Accutane, but what I found worked for me was when my Doctor wrote me a prescription for the contraceptive pill. It plays around with your hormones, and while it doesn't make acne go away entirely, it does do some pretty dramatic stuff. Fir the first month it might make the acne a bit worse- that's normal, your body isn't used to the hormone change. But after that, my acne just seemed to disappear.
If you can get hold of it, there's this stuff called bio oil- it's fantastic. It gets rid of scars of all kinds. I've seen it work, and let me just say, it's like a miracle in a bottle.
Something you might not have tried is Tree tree cream- tea tree is a natural antiseptic, and I find that putting a thin layer of it on my face after washing it with saline solution keeps the acne at bay.
hey lex,
I have found that honestly proactive works wonders for me that is all I use. Its worth the try for the 19.95. Use the products as they tell you to though. It really does work. good luck
birth control works to and its not as harsh it dosnt work as good but from what I hear their are a lot of side effets to accutain but I know someone that used it and it worked fine
I have never and won't use Accutane. As Chickie Poo said it does have a lot of side effects. If you would just change your diet and stick to it, you wouldn't have acne. My skin is clear, shining and glowing. Mainly because I don't eat cooked food. It is all raw. Good luck!

What is accutane like?
Well, for a couple of years now,I've been struggling with acne - For about 5 years,I'm guessing. If you ask,I've tried everything, and I mean everything under the sun,to help clear my skin, but nothing seems to work - Proactiv,Clean and Clear,Murad - you name it!And on top of all of that,I have acne scars, which are hard to get rid of.
So,since I'm basically about to give up on my skin,my doctor said that Accutane is my last resort and that I'm allowed to use it,if I choose. So,I was thinking of using it,and if I do - What happens really?I heard that it dries the heck out of your skin for about a week, and there are a lot of side effects. If you ever used Accutane, what happened, and how was it like?
