Ok a funny uncle is like exactly the way it sounds. Most families have an uncle they refer to as the "funny uncle", or like "crazy uncle steve" or something like that. This is usually the uncle who is the most childlike...the uncle who is acting goofy, is fun to be around, etc. So depending on in what context you use the term, it could mean simply "that's my funny uncle steve". Also, on a TV show, or in a movie, or something like that, a "funny uncle" could be the person on the show who breaks up a serious moment by being funny. I don't know if you ever watch Seinfeld, but KRAMER would be an example of the funny uncle on that show.
