if theres 3 feet in a meter and 2.5 cm is 1 inch

do the math

3 feet = 1 meter
2 feet 7 inches left over
which is 31 inches
31 divided by 2.5

I think

I am 5ft 11 and that is 1m80... if you are 5ft 7 so thats around 1m45 - 60 (I'm not good with maths so its a rough answer) but you say you are 1m70 so you are abouth 5ft 9

you can't be both you are most likely to be 5ft 9ish if you are 1m70

5'7" is very close to 1.7m or 170cm. (The average height for men is about 5'8" and for women 5'6" so that's about average for people.) Add or take away 2.5cm from 1.7m for every inch above or below 5'7". That's a rule of thumb you can carry around in your head, but there are plenty of online conversion machines, such as worldwidemetric dot com slash metca dot .htm if you want something more exact.

5'=152.4 cm
7''=17.8 cm

so

5'7''=170.2 cm

Boy, some people put fingers to keyboard without putting brain in gear, don't they?

3 feet DO NOT = 1 metre.
(3 feet = 1 yard)

The exact conversion is
1 inch = 2.54cm
(It may come as a surprise to US Americans, but metric is the international standard, and Imperial measure - or whatever Americans call it - is derived from that - the inch is defined in centimetres)
so
5' 7" (5 feet 7 inches) = 5x12 + 7 = 67 inches
67 x 2.54 = 170.18 cm exactly.

But my rule of thumb, given above, is good enough for human heights, which vary by more than that during the course of a day.

5'7" is exactly 170.18 cms while 5ft 9 inch is quite likely 175.26 cms.

You would be 1.7 m tall. Exactly, but of course we do vary during the day, then 5'7" would be 1.7018 m tall.
