What if I like him and he doesn't like me back?

So my friend, his name is Matt, is the hottest guy in school and my best friend. And me, Matt and my friend were hanging out and my friend ((Krissy is her name)) kinda knew I liked him.. And so she kinda hinted him in a way, and he said exactly,
"Sorry,...

but you're a bit too happy for me. No offense."
Well, all offense taken. If I didn't act happy all the time, I'd be depressed or pissed off 24/7. And he's the only guy I've ever liked. Should I just give up and wait for someone else? I'm not sure, but when I think about Matt not liking me, I kinda start to cry.. I don't know what to do..

I would just walk away and forget about him, becasue if he does not like for how you act/look/ect hes not the one for you!! This Matt sounds like the boy who is only going on looks. im sorry I would just walk away before he says somthing else that will make you sad!

look I go into that kinda story a lot and thats just life you have to figure it out yourself

if he would have really cared about you, he would have actted upon it. he would have pulled you out to talk, and it seems like he keeps getting a new girlfriend every week he does not seem committed enoguh.

Caring about someone, and actually liking them are two different feelings. Someone can care about you, but that doesnt mean they want to date you. He sounds like a player anyway. Someone who doesnt know the meaning of commitment.

Well I think when you care about someone you have to feel someting toward them. you have to feel compasion towards that person.People dont go around say oh I care for that boy because he did not get what he wanted, (well that was a stupid annalagey)but when some one cares for you I doubt they would switch girls every week. I think hes just playing you so then he can hurt you. or anyone for that matter!
