Don't touch your face. The oil from the plant is what causes the pain/blisters/etc and will stick to your fingers and cause blisters in any area you touch after that. Cut your nails so that scratching won't spread it (it'd be useless to tell you not to scratch, because nobody ever seems to be able to do that).
If you're going to take a shower or anything before you go, don't wash your face, because regular soap doesn't help poison ivy and the washing itself might spread it.
I hope the doctor can help you. Best of luck!
I USED TO GET POISON IVY REALLY BAD. THE BUMPS ARE ALREDY SHOWN UP OBVIOUSTLY. BUT AS LONG AS THE OIL OFF OF THE PLANT IS OFF OF YOUR SKIN YOU CAN NOT SPRED IT ANYMORE THE OIL FROM THE IVY BLISTERS CANNOT SPREAD THE POISON IVY. BUT DO NOT ITCH IT WILL SCAR. TO DRY IT UP(THIS MIGHT HURT BUT IT WOKS)WASH your FACE WITH SALT WATER>

What if I have poison ivy on my face?
My moms supposed to take me to the dr. tomorrow, but what are things I need to do & be careful of?
