What gift is great?

I have a very serious question to ask and I hope someone answers before it is too late, what does a boy like as a simple present, as simple as a charm or friendship bracelet??

Do something meaningful that came up in a conversation. Like for one of my X's I got him a guitar pick holder because he said he was always loosing his guitar picks. You just need to listen to what he says. You could always get him a hat or something... I did that too. If you know what kinds of bands he likes you could get him a band tee shirt, or even just a normal tee shirt from his favorite store. There are plenty of options. What about a gag gift?
