Pixels for the screen - the higher the resolution, the sharper the picture. The higher the contrast ratio, the higher quality the picture will be as well. I haven't bought an HDTV set, however, I like to shop for them in magazines & stores Hoping the prices will keep falling so perhaps I can pick one up cheaper than high def tv's go for now.
