IT MEANS YOU ARE ALWAYS STRONG WHEN YOU SAY SOMETHING, FOR EX.: WHEN YOU SAY SOMETHING AND THEN YOU FIND ITS WRONG AND SOMEONE TELLS YOU "YOURE WRONG" AND YOU DON´T WANT ADMIT YOU ARE WRONG SO YOU STILL SAYNG THE SAME THING KNOWING THAT´S WRONG, FOR THE SIMPLE REASON YOU DON´T WANT TO ADMIT THE OTHER PERSON IS RIGHT...BEING HEADSTRON IS SOMETHING LIKE THAT...DID you UNDERSTAND???

It's not a compliment - say your friend smokes 5 packs a day - you keep telling him, that will cause you Health problems but he doesn't listen and keeps doing the bad habit - similar terms are 'hard headed' or 'in one ear and out the other'.
