What does "chav" mean?

Kay I am taking these quizzes and its all likke are you chav? and I dont even knowwhat that means and it bothers mee!

From what I've gathered online,it seems to be a stereotypical slang word for those who can also be called "scummy,mangy,dirty"

Ha ha funny. Chav commonly refers to those belonging to a youth sub-culture, often stereotypically associated with a low socio-economic class, a striking dress sense and criminal activity. (I took that from wikipedia) cause its a pretty good explaination.

But the best way to understand is to see them...

Have a look at urbandictionary- they have a few definitions of 'chav'. Don't know if they're accurate though.
