What do you think about a doggy daycare?

sammiz Asked by angelzsammi 2 months ago, 11 answers.

I was thinking about a business idea in my area. A doggy day care would like everyones feedback, I thought of this because I always walk my doggys down to the local shopping centre but refuse to tie them to a pole whilst I go inside (for obvious reasons)....

So I was wondering do you think people would pay to use a doggy day care like a little centre set up off the side of the local shopping centre to take your puppys for short term (like an hour) or long term (a full day).

- of course there would be like possible options like taking the dogs for walks if they were in the centre longer then two hours meals and grooming. But what does everyone think of the general concept?

As a vet tech and loving animals, I think its a great idea, just remember a lot of thought has to go into it, like proper holding facilities, leashes, etc.

absolutely misty I know insurance, and legal obligations as well as health and safety standards, leashes toys, accredited workers all those things I've done a business degree at university so I know a lot more goes into an idea but I was just thinking about how it might be a great new idea as we dont have anything like this here in australia . Thanks for your feedback @--->---

Love the idea! When it's successful you should open more branches over time around Australia!

I was just discussing about the pole thing with my boyfriend the other day. We wondered how many people's dogs have been stolen and stuff while being tied out while the owner is in a store...

Sounds good in theory...but I don't know many people that would use it. I mean they will either leave their animals at home, or take them riding in the car with them, but I don't know of many people that would drop them off at a day care. In today's economy it just doesn't seem like many people would be able to spend their money on such a luxury service. Just being realistic.

I always suggest that people that adopt my dogs or puppies check out a Doggie Day Care. So I am for them. They are popular here. Where do you live?
