Think of street racers and street racing?

What do you think of street racers and street racing?

I think its stupid and dangerous... to everyone involved. theyr not properly trained and theres usually no safety!

I think it's richkids wanting to show off their wheels; real professional drivers will try out for NASCAR or something similar. But doing it on the street, they expose everyone in danger including themselves.

Most of the time it is just a bunch of derks, and their cars are hardly ever really cool, save neon lights, but then again neon lights make ANYTHING cool.

But I can see the appeal. With NASCAR you just drive in a circle. That's not fun. However, street racing in like a populated area is incredibly dumb. But I'd like to partake in some kind of Gumball Rally or Cannonball Run sort of deal.

I'm just waiting for someone to kick of some extreme racing like in Speed Racer. Maybe I should get to work on a Mach 5.

Not all street racers are rich kids and its only dangerous if you dont know what your doing or if other people dont pay attention

If you have a closed road track and no civilians are around, it's your own risk. If you race where there are possibly people driving/walking by, you're putting them into danger, even if you're Schumacher. I personally wouldn't feel good if a relative is injured due to car racing.

I used to do it and had fun doing it but wouldn't do it unless thers like no-one around and definately not in the daytime. Now I have (sort of) grown up and barely ever do it.

When I was on the GSXR1000 I laughed so hard at them lil WRX's and skylines revving the snot outts their engines.

I personally think that people should not do it in cities they shold go where they wont be bothered. In saying that I reckon the consequences are far too harsh. you only have to get caught once and it will stick with you (e.g. I got a dangerous driving charge) so that now affects employment etc.

It was good fun to do with friends but we always found an empty (I mean EMPTY) area where there is NO cars or anything. Great thing about NZ is 15 mins from city and you can already have empty spacious roads where no one will bother you.

Also if you reckon you are good with your vehicle and are serious about it try racing on a legal track - it is so awesome fun!!!
