What do you guys think about the "reborn" realistic baby dolls?

I saw this on comcast and my brothers and I were weirded out. these dolls were really life-like, but the eyes were...odd. You could kind of tell that the dolls were fake, but it was really scary. Have you guys heard of these dolls? If not go you can see...

the videos on comcast's site. You can get these dolls to look that other real babies and their chests rise and fall to simulate breathing. they even have heartbeats. I want to know what you guys think about this. I think it will cause problems, mental and otherwise is the world...*shudders*

That is just too creepy, I just watched it. Although my daughter who is 3 thought that was wonderful and she wants one. Of course she had to point out that she already had a baby that has a heartbeat (it just doen't look real). I think that there are already a lot of mentally disturbed people out there who do not need anymore help to be even more sick. And that's exactly what this seems like it will do.

hmm...these are a little too life-like. I think "raising" a sack of flower or egg is good for teaching responsibility, but THIS??

there are many realistic re-born dolls around
theres nothing wrong with it
for most people its a hobby
its also something that women might choose to get if they cant conceive themselves
these life-like babies have helped a lot of women who wanted to become mothes but cant for some reason...medical, physical ect
but there lives are happier because the babies look so realistic,
its almost like they actually have a child
...although there was the incendent when one was left in a car and a man broke into it to try to save the baby...then found out it wasnt real
but all in all theres nothing wrong with them
its a hobby for people to make...like painting are anything else
and a blessing to some women who cant have a child of there own
