Did God Create Us? Or Did We Just Appear

No, we were not created at all, either by gods or by anything else. The universe simply exists uncreated. Humans evolved from other animals which evolved from other animals which...evolved from something like yeast ...which evolved from something noncellular ...which evolved from a simple replicator of some kind that appeared by chance...the material of which came from earth/space...which came from an earlier star that blew up which came from primordial hydrogen which came from primordial subcomponents which came from spacetime itself originating in the big bang...which came from ?

So, we have a reasonably good natural explanation for everything from the big bang on, but do not yet know why that happened. ...but we're working on understanding it.

I believe that God created us in his own image and likeness...

I believe the account in the Bible - we are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made, His children.

There is a lot of evidence by scientists saying we evolved from past generations.
Yet again, how did the past generations arrive?

grew up catholic but wasnt for me.
its all evolution. we didnt come from rocks as someone above said. not to put you down or anything...
but if one can believe that god easily made things appear, then one can believe that life has been a slow and steady process of reactions between chemicals and organisms to evolve. the perfect combinations. science in other words lol

It amazes me how some people just completely ignore and deny science that interferes with their belief in some ancient texts. It is mind-boggling that there are that many ignorant people out there who think that science is not a vallid explanation of our origins, but a book written by superstituos men is.

Think about the intricacies of the human body, and mind... and the details in everything that is not man made... Study on this for awhile... and then, see what you believe.

I did all that, and it made me even more convinced of evolution...or was that not the outcome that was supposed to happen?

Silverwings, have you ever once looked past your bible for answers as to why things evolved the way they have? Or should we just give up on exploring our origins simply because you believe the bible is the last word on the subject?

Correct me if I am wrong.. but, I believe that science is the study of 'What is'.

And if that is so... then.. science did not create... anything, right???

The study of science is just that... a study.
