Hoeschooling. I'm acaully Homeschooled because I was kicked out of school for something very stupid. Best thing I can say is it's very hard...You have to teach yourself everything! Not the best to turn to! It gets boring and you start missing the little things about school...friends, lunch, boys/girls. Its not the same, If I was you I wouldnt do it. It was a big mistake on my part and now I'm stuck!
I was homeschooled for about 2 years when I was 7-9. When I finally started going to a proper school I appeared to be the smartest in all the classes, my mum must have taught me well!
As long as you have the focus and support around you then I guess it's great! It's totally not the same but it does all depend on your age. When I was home-tutored, people would say that I was missing out on the important things like socialising and interacting with others. However my parents made sure I saw friends after the 'school day' and at the weekend so that wasn't a problem. I can imagine that the older you get the harder/worse it will be. As a teen it is really important to be able to have friends around you and I can imagine that being home-schooled you may feel a bit like you want to 'Stay cooped up' kind of thing.
So are you thinking about being homeschooled?
yeah im homeschooled because I was always in the office; in trouble;
getting in fights; fussing with teachers; being suspended. & I missed
about 11 days unexcused; & the police came:/ ha. but yeah I don't like
it. I miss messing with the teachers & making them mad:] I know its
kinda immature. but I think its fun. & I miss my friends. & going out
everyday. if you get homeschooled make sure you stay active. or you will start
to get a tummy:] lol
I think that homeschooling can be both a good thing and a bad thing because you can focus on the important things in school and not other distracting things. however being home schooled means you dont gain other skills, for example talking to teachers and other people, social skills. I have 2 cousins and both of them are home schooled, they are very sheltered and I dont think that is a good thing. so home schooling has its ups and downs to it.
I was homeschool for almost 7 years! It was good for me, because I was shy and hated talking to people. It got bad for me later because I was only with my siblings all day and had nothing to do. If you choose to homeschool, I would look into things that some homeschoolers do together. For instance, there is a homeschool basketball team that I played on. There was other homeschool events and stuff like that. I would highly recomend it if you don't want you kid to go to a bad school or something. It was great for me!
