I just turned 18 July 1 and my girlfriend took me out to see a live show of Greese the musical. She also got me a bear I could sleep with and she sprayed some of the stuff she uses on it so it smells like her.
I'm not sure how much this one cost but she got me a relic watch from JC Penny.
Another idea is a picture of you two in a frame.
Go out to a nice restruant if you guys are into that.
Plan out a days event like a concert
Surprise him by making dinner

I would either go for a watch, t-shirt, or a cd. Then use the rest of what you have saved up to go out to eat someplace nice or his faveorite restaurant.

When shopping for the love in my life.. I always try to personalize something for him. Everything I have ever gotten him is personalized. I love to scrapbook. I've spent many hours making a scrapbook for him thats beautiful. Also on customizedgirl.com they make custom tshirt that are adorable, and you pick everything that the shirt says, and design it yourself.

I've made frames, and flannel blankets. I always buy him his favorite brand of clothing, or just anything that he will need.

My guy is allergic to dairy, and I have learned that a way to a mans heart is always through food. I cook him dairy free desserts all the time, and the one thing he always brags about is his girlfriend that bakes him his favorite things. Try making your man a dinner, or baking him his favorite things. Trust me- it impresses them more than you think!

oh my gosh. no one can beat what I did. I started a week before his birthday and I gave him a little purple [his favorite color] card with a letter from the alhpabet on the front every day talking about what he would expect during the day and surprises along the way. by the end of the 8 days.. the cards are going to form the 8 letters of I LOVE YOU. and on the 8th day, his birthday, I surprised him with an awesome party with his closest friends and he LOVED IT! it's the thought that counts. thats there is to it. he gave me my first birthday surprise ever in return on my birthday.

just to let the world know, my boyfriend asked me out by putting rose petals, hershey kisses, and candles all over my bed on the night of our school homecoming while "differences" by ginuwine was playing in the background and when I turned around I was surprised again as he was holding up a bunch of bright red roses. he said "I guess this is my way of saying, will you be my girlfriend?" so on our anniversary, I did the exact same surprise to him.. puttingt he same exact rose petals that were on my bed all over his bed, same candles, and same hershey's kisses and turned around as he saw me with pretty red roses. and he took me to disneyland and gave me a tiffany necklace when I gave him a kevin jewelers $400 ring in front of the disney castle. we'll be a year and 3 months on the 4th of february. and we're still going strong. I love him with every bit of my heart,mind,body&soul. and as corny as that really sounds.. im not exaggerating. and I feel good about it.

do you know what stores he likes in the mall, etc? if you do, I would get him a gift card to that store. that is usually the best gift b/c of 2 reason: he will think it's thoughtful that you know what stores he likes (it shows how much you know him); and that way, he can get something that he likes (you don't have to worry about getting him something that doesn't fit, or something he already has).
