They talk to you and help you sort out your feelings. Often times they will ask you question to get your mind thinking in a positive light and to help you see a new perspective on things.

Congratulations on going to counseling. It takes a lot of courage to do that.

Dear red_rose_mafia,

Well you pretty much just sit down some where and talk about whatever it is that you want. Gouls, dreams you may have, some issues at home, what ever is on your mind and he or she is there to help you sort through if needed or to just be an ear to hear what you have to say.

You could possibly go for walk with the person but most of it is done sittign down.

Well good luck an best of wishes.

They mostly listen to you and try to help you sort through your issues , it does help if you open yourself up and let go -- Sometimes things just overwhelm us and having a therapist help us can make a great difference .
It's a place where you can share things with them that others may not understand .
