I would stick to the soft foods until the braces start to feel a little more confortable. Stick with soups, puddings, yogourt - basically anything that doesn't require much chewing.

Don't worry, the pain does go away

Applesauce, yogurt, pudding, soup, ice cream.
Also, maybe you could sucker some milkshakes or slushes out of your parents.
Try the slimfast meal drinks too.

for now soft foods try yogurt, soups (such as vegtable) pudding, well pretty much all you can swallow..haha..that sounded funny..anywhoo..yea when I used to have braces I could only do that..eat tender things..ice cream, shakes for now, until your teeth get used to them and wont ache anymore. get what I mean?
oh and if your plannin to chew gum anytime soon chew 'sugar-free' gum only, rest will stick to your braces.

thank god im thru with that. haha..and well good luck.

Stay with like soft food until you are used to the feelin of having braces.
Even after you are used to them I wouldn't have things like rock, hard candy or even chewing gum because my friend has broken her brace a lot on stuff like that.

Good Luke
