How to LOSE weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn't gain your weight overnight so don't expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.

If you need conversion info, 1 kg = 2.2 pounds and 2.54 cm = 1 inch (12 inches = 1 foot)

"How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?"

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

"What should a minimum calorie intake be?"

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Another thing that helps to lose weight is to always eat a good breakfast. That helps to jump start your metabolism which helps start burning calories. Also, try to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water every day. One before every meal (except breakfast) and before all snacks. That helps curb your appetite which helps reduce caloric intake.

First off - your body will naturally lose weight while you're growing.

Secondly, it really isn't as hard as you think - go for walks EVERY day, not once in a while. Eat smaller portions, and less often. Try to eat 3 meals a day (breakfast is the most important if you want to lose weight) and maybe a snack. Don't eat junk foods, eat fruit or something like that.

Don't go out to eat at fast food places.

Trust me. Doing this for a month (3 square meals a day + maybe 1 snack + running or walking at the very least EVERY DAY) will allow you to see improvements.

Blondeducky, cute name. There are WAY easy ways to lose weight and yes it is a routine but its a short one. Do NOT eat before you go to sleep if you do, that makes it so all of the food you eat becomes fat. Your boyfriend is right, you should be happy with your size and you can make that happen by knowing your doing things the healthy way. Exercise at night is the best time to do it, and stretching in the morning is very helpful too. Before and AFTER you exercise always stretch out. Fifteen minutes a day of working out isnt really that much of a commitment and it works. Start out with two sets of twenty crunches a day. Its like a sit-up but you don't go up all the way. You just lift you head and shoulders off the ground. They are very quick. Plus two sets of ten push-ups a day. They are hard but you really do get used to them. When you have a choice to walk somewhere like school or around town TAKE IT. You don't need to set aside time for walking or jogging when you have tons of opportunities before you.. When your parents need someone to take out the trash THERE YOU GO, when someone doesnt want to get up to get the remote, doesnt want to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water DO IT. I will keep in touch and I wont give up on you but I'm not allowed to give you my email... Dawn*Raye
