I dont think its insensitive...Because as much as you would want to do something to raise money, this is not the way a lot of people would like to do it.
Your hair could take ages to grow back, if it even grows back and it may go completely different from what it is now.
Donate some money or find another way to do it, shaving your head isnt exactly the best way to raise money. If this girl was still with you, im sure she wouldnt be happy that you are all shaving your heads to raise money, They wouldnt want people loosing their hair to raise money when (if she lost her hair?) she wouldnt of been happy and seeing poeple shaving their hair could be pretty awful.
no, that isn't insensitive at all. If you give, do it quietly. I think by shaving your head for cancer, it says "Look at me and what I've done to help cancer!" which is not what anyone should do. I doubt your friend shaved her head, anyway. I agree with sammib, this girl probably wouldn't want people to shave their heads. If I died of cancer, I know I wouldn't want my friends going bald for me. Plus it takes years to grow back...
Was I insensitive?
When a girl at my school died of cancer, my grade had a meeting to decide on what we were going to do in memoriam, and someone said we could have one of those "shave for a cure" days and donate the money to camp quality. Now, I am NOT shaving my head,...
and when I said this to one of my friends, she said I was being insensetive. What do you think? Was I insensetive?
