Dear mizzsmith,
Thank you for correcting your typing...When our friends make bad choices it is very difficult to speak with them about it. We are afraid they will get mad at us. So you need to be very diplomatic about how you go about telling her. So you simply say that you know of this guy and he has a reputation about being crazy etc. etc. I just want you to know that if it doesn't work out for you I'm here for you to talk with anytime.
Then you let it go...sometimes people need to learn by their own mistakes. By telling her how you feel you have been a good friend. Now be a great friend and step back for her to perhaps learn a lesson. It hurts to see our friends hurt but if she learns this time around she may never make that mistake again.
Sue...good luck
We never want to hurt the ones we love, so I understand your dilemma. But if she is with someone that is not all there, and could hurt her in some way, you have an obligation to make sure she is safe. If he's just a little wacky, and she's into that, keep quiet because you wouldn't want to ruin your relationship with her over a guy she won't even be with in a couple of years.
What should she do?
