what do you prefer windows vista or xp?

What do you prefer windows Vista or XP? Why?

What do you like in windows Vista?

I saw & read tons on Vista, and needed to upgrade my computer...and, Vista runs slower than XP, with the same exact hardware configuration (eg, it's impossible to make Vista run faster than XP, on the same box).

So...as I've never thought to myself "I wish my computer was slower"...and, given the feature I most wanted in Vista was the better / improved file search, I ended up getting a Mac.

However, if I could get a new computer running XP, I probably would have...as excel is better on a windows box, as you get pivot charts, which aren't in the mac version, and I miss those.

I agree with you thedude and I really don't like Vista is sooo slow and if you work in IT department you will face a big problem with staff lol

Much as I like the layout of vista, I hate its vulnerabilities to viruses/spyware, with XP I use the same antivirus/anti spyware/firewall and I have no problems what so ever. also a lot of programs arent yet compatable with vista. to me, vista seems like windowsME all over again!

vista is better for a new computer since its running fast but vista slows down your system, xp is more classic but it runs very fast I guess it depends if you want it for looks and simplicity or for speed

I have vista I like it, but I also hate it! cause it's really slow, if I want it to be normal and fast we have to get another lap top/ computer!

I like the look of vista but I like xp more.
