AVG from Grisoft for Virus removal tool is still available. Or you can do an "online scan" from different sites. I am not too sure about good online scanning tools.

How to get rid of viruses for free
1st go to to these links and download there free spyware they are listed in order of what I think works best. Please use them all you will need to.

After loading the programs you may have to do a scan 5-10 times to get rid of the viruses. One scan and clean probably won’t work. You must use all the programs 5-10 times to be effective

After you find the name of viruses you might try and delete them yourself be careful if you don’t know what your doing you could do damage to your system.

Both can check and clean. . . I've used both at one time or another. I service computers for people and can clean Viruses off with out spending even 2 cents. Most of you major players like mcAfreak and nort-system hog are tested against by the Virus makers to see if they can slide by so you may pay for the best money can buy and still get infected, A good plan is to use a free antivirus like Avast and to check once or twice a month with one of the mentioned online agents. . . Also install Ad-aware SE (free) Spybot S&D and Stay away from free music downloads and porn sites they can and will cripple your computer where you will need someone like me to come clean your system because it takes 20 min. to boot and that is $70 if your a senior citizan and $100 or more if younger. if you got to http://www.majorgeek.com and look on the right site of the page you will find an info section with a listing of Top freeware picks. . . these guy have some good picks. . . . and are will researched. use them.
