Define "young"? Some people consider 40 young. Some people consider 30 young. Some people...etc.
I think the "right" age to lose your virginity at is around 17, when you've been with one person for a very long time and you love them. That's just my opinion, though. I say 17, because at that age you can fully grasp the emotional and physical consequences of having sex. You understand what it means, how to do it safely...usually.
Kids our age are under the impression that they aren't cool until they lose it, or that it means nothing and they need to just go ahead and do it.
These are the same people with herpes and 3 kids by age 19.
To answer your question: is it okay? I don't think so. Something as trivial as sex can wait, don't you think?
