Okay Just wondering. If the Virgin Mary got laid by Joseph and then Jesus was born, then how can Mary be a virgin? Always been wondering this question. Please give suggestions. Thank You.

They weren't married at the time of Jesus' conception (so technically she was "a virgin"

No if they weren't married when Jesus was born all that means is that Mary is a Fornicator and has committed adultery.

Mary was engaged to joseph when she was was made pregnet with Jesus.
She didnt know how this happened cause she was a virgin.
But God chose her.
And in the movie "the nativity story" she told joseph she was pregnet and he thought she slept with another guy so they wanted to stone her. (which would kill anyone cause a bunch of people throw huge rocks at em" But an angel told them he was from God and to name him Jesus.

God is a supernatural diety. He is omnipotent. Meaning, he has all power.

To you ,a human, it sounds incredible.

To him, it is not.

Mary was hand picked by God, to carry our Savior. She was overshadowed by the Holy Ghost. Impregnating her.

She was never with a man, until afterward.

She later had other children by Joseph, her husband.

Why don't you read the story for yourself, the four gospels each tell it, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

God did this because Jesus is his bloodline, not mans.

He did not therefore carry the fallen nature of man.

He instead brought forth the divine nature of God, in man, himself.

He was the sacrifice that God required to offer salvation to the human race.

Redemption.

When we ask Jesus into our hearts, we open ourselves to the very nature of God.

Then we can see spiritual things, and understand them, until then, they are Greek to us.

The natural mind cannot comprehend the things of God, that is why we have to be saved to enter heaven.

We cannot go there thru the power of the flesh.

It has to be thru the spirit.

and it has to be reborn.

And this comes thru the shed blood of Jesus on the cross.

He paid the price that we may be saved.

Salvation is free for the asking, but, it cost Jesus his life.

Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she would have a son but it wouldn't be by a man but the Holy Spirit would overcome her and that's how Jesus came to be. She had Jesus when she still was a virgin but after Jesus was born then she could have intercourse with Joseph

Did you ever see the movie 'Dragnet"? In it, the character Friday refers to Connie Swail as "the Virgin Connie Swail" right up until the very last reference he makes about her at the end of the movie.

...in the several mentions of Mary in the Gospels, at what point do they stop referring to her as 'the Virgin Mary"?

Think about what would happen in those days if people found out a woman had gotten pregnant out of wedlock. There were serious consequences for both the man and the woman. I think that's motivation enough for her to claim that she and Joseph had never been together.

This is if you assume that Jesus Mary and Joseph are real and not fabricated by Paul and the early Christians since there is no evidence for them outside the Gospels.

Jesus in Islam is a messenger of God who had been sent to guide the Children of Israel with a new scripture, the Injīl (gospel).[1] The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be God's final revelation, states that Jesus was born to Mary (Arabic: Maryam) as the result of VIRGINAL CONCEPTION, a miraculous event which occurred by the decree of God (Arabic: Allah). To aid him in his quest, Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles, all by the permission of God

Simply put, God made her pregnant, she gave birth, then she and Joseph had sex and had other children. And unlike the myths of other gods making humans pregnant, God let her know His plan and asked permission first.

The earthly Mother of Jesus, Mary was indeed a virgin until the Holy Spirit blessed her with the child Jesus in her womb. Mary was a virgin until she had relations with Joseph; they had children.

Jesus was 100% human and 100% God. He has the nature of fallen man and the unfallen nature of God. The reason this is so is because Jesus is our Example here on earth. He experienced every temptation as we do thru our human nature. Therefore, showing mankind that we are able to refrain from sinning if we follow Christ's Example.

BB I hope this helps
