People say that you will go to extremes either way. My father is abusive and plays favorites with his children because his parents were like that, but my mother was beaten by her father all the time and she could never EVER hit us. So I guess it just depends.

I'm curious why you're asking this question? If you've been trained the subject you know that you have a far greater chance of being violent if your parents were violent. Not only do you inherit genes that predispose you to being violent, but you have also learned violence as a method to solve your problems.

"men who observed violence towards their mother were three times more likely to be abusive than men who had not observed such violence" (Strauss et al., 1980).

I think that the same thing will happen to me.
I mean, I can see signs of it.
I can see my dad coming out in me..
I think that there is honestly, a good chance that you might.
And I might too..

Hopefully being around that will encourage you to be better parents than yours.

I know that my mom gets mad to easily, & That's one of the main things I want to make sure that I never am whenever I have children because I know how they would feel.
