Video games, why are people so obsessed?

Why are people so obsessed with them? My friend cant stop playing them

They must like the feeling of being invincible...

most of the time its just a fun way to kill time but for some people its just a hobby.

it depends on what they're playing!! and it's fun!! it kinda saves you from getting bored!!
for example, if they're playing barbie it would be a waste of time!!! but if you're playing car racing, football, or something that's more exciting, you would never get bored!!

It's fun and it takes away boredom.I actually saved every game and system I've ever played to give to my own kids.But that won't be for years and years.I have a few hundred game right now though.It also helps me keep my weight on the very low b/c I forget to eat and I don't want to get up and eat snacks constantly.For me though it's b/c I live w/my husband and he works 10 hours a day so I pretty much like to burn about 4 hours a day on a video game : ) Oh and by the way video ames are not only for guys! I'm a total all around girly girl and I love make up shopping all that plus video games.Especially the rpg's like Atelier Iris.

I used to be the same way...actually my cousins are that way...they can't pry themselves away from it...they love them...and I do too but I limit myself..or at least try to...hehe...sometimes it doen't always work...

well xbox 360 what we call gamerscore and people are very addicted to it. I am one of those people
