Could a vegetarian eat naturally laid eggs?

a day off. Asked by toedancer4life 7 months ago, 7 answers.

OKAY
so been thinking about this
trying it for a 30 day thing.

but I have to know. . okay chickens. eggs. they lay them naturally.
if you have a chicken at home. . lets say family chicken . . could you eat its eggs
since they are going to lay them...

naturally. and they aren't treated poorly. so that you can eat the eggs.

I like eggs so I was wondering.

thats okay. its not a fertilized egg so thats fine and its treated well so I think its fine...unless youre a vegan and believe that humans can survive on only plant matter.

yes, its perfectly fine
as a vegetarian (well true vegetarians anyway)
dont eat meat (inlcuding chicken and YES...no fish either!)
but you can eat things like eggs and drink milk, eat chocolate and all that as a vegetarian
if you were vegan though then you wouldnt eat those things either

I think it's fine to eat the eggs...Although I appreciate the millions of years of evolving the ability to eat meat...So I'd eat the chicken too.

NO!!! NO!! NO!!!

Lacto-oval vegetarians drink milk, and eat eggs.

Plain old vegetarians DO NOT EAT EGGS! Do not listen to these people.

a lot of idiots also think that vegetarians also eat fish and white meat. That is wrong too!

NO FOOD WITH A FACE...or that would eventually hatch and have a face!!!

nkg76: The eggs that you eat (well not you, other people) are unfertilised and will therefore never hatch out into anything. It is like, if you want to imagine it this way (although in all honesty, it'll probably put more people off eating them) a chickens period. She is laying an unfertilised egg, just as all female animals do after ovulation.
And I don't know what kind of milk you've seen...but I've never spotted a face in the stuff I drink, and I don't think I would even if I waited for it to hatch.
