Do uv tongue rings damage your teeth?

Do uv flexible tongue rings damage your teeth like the metal ones?

not really
but the longer you wear them its eventually going to do something
nothing noticable though
as there made out of much softer materials than metal
but they still can if they constantly rub against a tooth or it gets pushed into one
(say from being hit in the face)
but other than that you wont really notice it
