LIke any online or newspaper classified ad, it is buyer beware. You can find good deals, or you might get burned. No guarantees. Check the Autotrader too, and see if the deal is too good to be true on Craigslist. Usually people will embellish and try to convince you that you are getting some sort of incredible deal that usually will come with problems they won't tell you if you don't ask (usually salvages and misrepresentation of condition or repairs done/needed).

Used cars on craigslist.
Is it safe to buy used cars on craigslist? I heard one of my coworkers tell a story about getting burned by someone on the classified ad site here in the bay area. I want to buy a car, but I don't want to get a lemon, get robbed, or anything bad.
