Us school system

Hello. I was wondering if you (americans) can explain to me a lil bit how US school system works. How many homeworks do you get, what kind of class do you all have(math, english, blabla..) and stuff like that. Because in Europe when we finish our...

Elementary School(from age 6-14) we need to choose our high school and we got all kinds of schools(medic, computer engineering, electro engineering, cooking school and so on.

pre-k(kindergarden)-- 5th grade is usually our elemtry school span (kids usually start school around 5 or 6)
6th--8th is middle school
9th--through 12th id high school
and colledge is whatever many years you take...

we get a lot of homework in 9th grade but it was easy for me I was in honors and AP... in high school we have algebra 1& 2 geometry, calculious, civics, earth science, chemestry, world history, art, language, cooking, dance, p.e., gymnastics, apperal, and a bunch of other stuff also I just cant think of any others right now

well, yea...kinda everything that confused lil girl said, unless you go to a private school...most of the time, there are preschool-high school or preschool-8th grade and you continue on to either a public or private high school...and then you go to college (if you choose to do so)

Pretty much what confused lil girl said, only, the homework at the school I go to is way too much. No lie, I'm in AP/IB classes and the how was like 4-6 hours a night. It's over kill. Personally, I think our school system sucks. The lower classes are way too easy and the advanced classes kill you because of the how load.
