Took a home pregnancy test and it turned up negative?

I have a friend and we grew close over the years and just recently had oral sex. The thing is, my period is over a month late. I went ahead and took a home pregnancy test and it turned up negative. I can't be pregnant because it wasnt vaginal sex. We were both virgins when we did it too. What could be wrong with me??

if you had no pants on its a posibilty if his pen*is was any were close to it but it happens somethign liek that happened to me I didnt get it for at least 3 months and freeked out the whole time becuase I was gaining weight and having all the sings of being pregonate (creepy) but it happens a lot to gilrs when they are understress sometimes when they are REALLY athletic or when they are loosing weight or if ther is jsut a glitch btu are periods arnt always regular witch SUCKS but happens and yoru not pregonate no posible way if sperm wasnt any were near I wish you luck and hope you figure out wats going on wiht your period

You're right, there's no possible way you could get pregnant from having oral sex, so put that thought out of your head. With that eliminated, we can look at the other possible causes, and don't worry. There are many reasons why you could miss a period besides being pregnant.

It could be a simple hormone imbalance, a stress-related issue, or possibly a weight issue if you're pushing the very-thin side. It could be a sick pituitary gland, or it could be something more serious, like an ovary problem (but at your age, I'd say that's pretty unlikely).

Keep in mind that most doctors don't consider missed periods worth acting on until you've missed them for around five or six months in a row, so for now, just keep an eye on things for the time being. If I had to guess, I would pin things on stress. That causes more missed periods than you can imagine.

omg that same thing happened to me I didnt have my period for like 5 months and when I went to the doctor she said it was just something with my hormones and I was totally fine! you cant get pregnant from oral sex. you have to have vaginal sex for you to get pregnant!

if you had a change in diet or you lost weight, that can be the problem

if you're not eating right, not exercising enough, not sleeping enough, or if you're stressed, that's normal. youre definately not pregnant thoughh
