I/m bipolar ...is that a turn off to women? I understand that it isn't a turn on but does it drive women away just to know that about me?

it can be a turn off to people who dont fully understand it
my mother, and aunt both have bi-polar
and I was recently diagnosed with it and am now on medication for it
I personally have seen major improvement

if you find a girl is pushing you away bc of your bi-polar
explain to her wait it is and let her know you have it under control
or that your being medicated for it or whatever you're doing

good luck with it hon
lots of love

yeah it's a turnoff they might feel you are crazy or something and there's no telling what you might do when you go into bipolar mode. You might hurt her or something . And that's scary .

het bro well I kinda am the same way but I keep it mostly in control, I think its a mental thing anyways you know. well when you met a girl its obvious that you shouldnt tell her that until 3 months of going out atleast lmao, but I think you could controll it lol. sometime I get mad at my girl and then I just say im sorry I love you hunny and she getts so mad because it takes her time to get ok again you know its kinda funny when you think about it lol, just try to be calm lol take care

When you find a girl, the first thing you should do is let her know that you are bi polar and tell her about it. Tell her you have no control over it. If she likes you, she wont leave! Just be open and honest. It's not a turn off. Its part of who you are and you can't help that. Girls are more understanding then most people think. Goodluck!

hope I helped, xoxo

I am also bipolar and medicated. I've been diagnosed for over a year now and I only tell people when they're close to me and we're right about to become intimate. I've never had anyone push me away because of it and if someone does that's ok. I didn't need that person in my life to begin with. Just don't make it the very first, or very last, thing that you tell them. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

When I was in the dating world a few years ago, (unmedicated) bipolar was code for exciting relationship. This probably won't make sense, but I equate it with riding a mechanical bull.
