I've heard this SO many times, & still don't really believe it, but I'm really curious. Does trimming your hair once a month really make it grow longer?? I mean it doesn't really make sense to me, your hair grows from the roots, what does trimming the...

dead ends off have to do with that?

no it doesn't. The reason you should get it cut is because of the split ends. If you have a lot of split ends, your ends will break easier and that can stunt the growth of your hair but hair grows the same no matter if its cut or not. I always thought this way before and always used to get it trimmed...but alas my hair never grew out because the hairdressers cut it too much. Now finally its growing because I let my hair grow out and haven't been to the hairdressers in 2 years. I trim off like half a centimeter myself every 2 months, and my hair is growing long and healthy.

Well, I NEVER trim my hair, never really had bad problems with dead ends either. So this is why I really don't believe it

It does work...when you trim the dead ends off your hair, it allows your hair to grow longer and healthier. Why??? Well, when your hair has dead ends, the air will not grow any longer as the ends are dead. Trimming your hair does help, you may not beleive this but I have tried it recently and it does work...my hair has grown 5 inches longer in just two months!!! I do hope this answer helps...if you have any more questions to ask about anything at all...feel free to email me at Fun mail me

Well my hair must be really healthy, I hardly ever have dead ends, I never trim my hair & it CONTINUES to grow longer... So I'm still skeptical. Maybe I'll test it, I'll go get my hair trimmed sometime this week & around the same time next month. But I don't know?!!! lol We'll see!

Trimming your hair does make it grow in a sense...as your hair grows your split become more split...this means that you have to get more hair cut off than you would have if you cut it regularaly. So yes, trim your ends, it will result in your hair not having bad ends. Your hair will grow long!
