well first make sure its been there for at least 6 weeks
so its had time to heal
next it depends what kind of jewellrey you have in
if its like a barbell or labret then you just unscrew the top bit
if its the ring with the ball, just hold the ring with one hand, and pop the ball out with the other
if you still cant get it out, go back to the peircer and theyll take it out for you

If it is a captive bead ring you might have to get a small pair of needle nose pliers to take it out. Put the tip of the unopened pliers in the ring and gently open until the bead falls out.

If it is a barbell, or has a screw on ball, you may have to use the pliers to hold the end of the bar while you unscrew the ball.

If you go to who pierced it they usually don't mind changing a ring for you now and then.
