Can you be traced if you ask about something illegal?

If ask talk about you or someone else doing illeagal can you be traced and/or arrested?

not exactly. They can, though it is unlikly unless its like killing someone, stealing something or a picture that someone thinks is offensive. They can get the IP address to trace the computer that posted whatever it was.

yes they can trace you but I dont think they'd arrest you for asking about how to do something illegal...
now if they find you actually did something illegal then yes...
and I would be careful, these alert systems that have been put out for "terrorists" are being used more to catch people than they are for catching terrorists...

Its possible to trace - but in order for them to actually do it would probley have to be something really bad that has already occurred. There have been people on here admitting they stole at the mall, is that something for them to trace? Nope, thats not drastic enough.
