I wanted to get my tongue pierced really bad too! but my neighbor is a dentist & he said that EVERYONE that gets their tongue pierced have health problems or something in their mouth at some point or another

yes its very cute! I actually had mine pierced twice and its really fun to change the tongue rings and all the cool colors and shapes and stuff!!

1)when they pierce it, its a sting but pretty quick
2)u can talk and eat but minimize the talking because it is uncomfortable and be careful what you eat because it is hard to chew and may b painful but not to the point where ull end up in the hospital. im not going to lie, especially if it is your first time it is painful and uncomfortable but again its not that bad!
3)umm yea this answer is in number 2. lol! but you can eat, stay away from hot and spicy foods tho!! it really hurts, you have to avoid it until it heals! try to eat soft foods, especially cold stuff like slushee, ice cream... really good for the healing tongue!! helps heal and it feels soothing! so pretty much stay away from hot and spicy foods and solid foods, chew slowly if you must eat them, it is fine cause I pretty much ate everything!!
4)healing process all depends on the person but I believe the swelling goes down in about 2weeks... but dont change the tongue ring til after a month or 2!! just to b on the safe side... you dont want to infect or make the healing/swelling process take longer.
JUST TAKE CARE OF IT AND IN THE END ITS ALL WORTH IT AND SUPER CUTE!! AND FUN.. HAHA!

o and if you have a little bit of bleeding, do not b alarmed.. its all a part of the healing process just rinse out with luke warm water and salt ! ull b fine! and of course make sure you be careful who you choose to pierce your tung!! some are idiots and will mess it up! maybe if you have a friend who has it done, ask them where they got it so ull feel a little more safe about it! It's not a big deal. I had mine done, it didn't hurt much considering its a needle through your tongue. The swelling isn't bad and you can talk normal unless you're retarded or have a small mouth. I ended up taking mine out though because of my teeth. I'm a dental assistant and ignored what my dentist said about damaging your teeth.. if you're not concerned about your teeth go for it, but you most likely will chip a tooth or two.. I did. haha but it was worth it, it's a fun piercing

dentists say that most mouth piercings are bad for your mouth, it hurts the gums or teeth or something

I pierced my own tounge and I've had it for about 4 years.
But I dont always have it on because it gets annoying.
My mom still dosent know I have it pierced and it took about 3 days for the swelling to go down.
dont eat anything hard for the first few days, eat soft foods and ice cream.
But if you do get it periced have fun with it!

Get it done professionally. Keep Listerine with you and rinse your mouth every time you eat or drink something. Yes, it can and will effect your teeth. You can minimize this by using an enamel protecting toothpaste and mouthwash afterwards.

Be careful eating the first few days. No Ramen noodles or spaghetti o's,lol Soft foods are best for a few days. Midol will help with the swelling whether you are male or female. Both of my sons took it and so did I. According to the guy that did mine you can change it after one week. I changed mine then because I needed a smaller tongue bar and I was fine.

Yes it hurts a little. Yes it will swell some but the Midol will help both of those. You can stop the talking funny if you try. You can make yourself talk straight if you want o.

u broke up wit your mate because of your stinky tonque. I could even smell it up to germany
