my ex broke up with me a few weeks ago because I was too shy and couldnt have fun because I was too concerened about what could happen or embarassing myself!

please can I get some advice on how to be less shy

Yes, stop being like that! What's happened to you was normal! Too much shyness is no good. Visit a psychologist.
