Tongue piercing

I have braces and I want to get my tongue pierced the only thing Im worried about really is me gaging. ..when they dry my tongue and does puss come out even if its not infected and does it taste bad if so...and on a scale of 1-10 how bad does it hurt oh...

and I know how to take care of it but can I have some helpful FACTS...

if you have braces I wouldnt advise you get a tounge peircing
bcecause its going to get caught on them a lot , especially while trying to get used to it
so youull probably ensd up stretching the peircings from getting it caught, which will increase your risk of infection
if I were you, get it done when you get your braces out
if it was infected, yes puss would be there
puss is there because your body trying to heal the wound
and I guess it wouldnt taste too nice if you had an infection
pain, depends on your pain tolerance, but shouldnt be anything you cant handle
be resposible though, if you want it done have a good think about it and get it done the right way
...its your tounge, and its very important muscle
so make sure its peirced right
...if not done right they could hit a vein and you can even paralize your tounge

It doesn't hurt too bad. It feels like what biting your tongue feels like. It heals pretty quickly.

First of all your tongue piercing won't get caught on your braces. I'm not saying its not possible, but it doesn't happen all the time. Secondly, no there won't be puss when you just get it pierced. It will be swollen for a little while and you'll be talking like your mouth is full lol. Nowadays, they tell you to mix sea salt with a liter of water and rinse your mouth out all the time with that. Think about that for a second...salt on a fresh wound..DON'T DO IT!! lol...Just use listerine after you do anything other then breathe for as long as the tell you. I know that sounds stupid but if you do that, you will be fine. And no it won't give you chemical burns like they might say. As far as the pain goes, ask them to clamp it harder (they clamp your tongue to hold it while they pierce it) and you will hardly feel anything. I hope this helps!!
