No, school hasn't stopped.
In fact, my school has a 3 year program...
People are just being may I say it? Stupid.
I've learned this analogy about sex.
You have an apple, and you give 1 person a bite of your apple. Then another and another until you find the 1 person you really want to share your apple with and the apple has a bunch of bites out of it. Who's going to want to take a bite out of your apple now?
=]
creation - you learnt that having sex with people makes you like a bitten apple?
You know, I think you just answered my question as to why kids are clueless...
greekbeauty -that's kinda why I was asking, because of their questions... why do they not know that a guy cumming on their breasts will not make them pregnant?
I don't think my school ever really had an in-depth sex-ed class, but definitely the basics. I think the people asking stupid questions are just the immature kids that want to have sex for the simple reason of "I'm 14 and my hormones are going crazy." It boggles my mind some of the dumb ideas kids have about sex. I'm 19 and started having sex a year ago, but when I did my boyfriend and I talked about it and we were completely open. I think some people are a lot less mature than that and just jump into it because that's what "everyone is doing." I mean, if you have to ask an on-line site how to give your man a hand-job/bj, you probably shouldn't even be thinking about sex. Idiots.
I've been at high school 4 years now, and I've only had 2 sex ed classes.
They werent that great either. One was year 7, where we were shown pictures of people with STI's, which I'd rather not have been shown at the age of 11, and another was based on the same thing except without the pictures.
I know most of what I know because of magasines, which were probably more helpful than my school is.
In primary school we had some sort of sex education, but I was year 5 or something, and about 9 years old. And from what I remember even then all we did was watch a video about body changes.
I remember in 5th grade a women came in and did like a half day course with us. she took the boys the other half and us the first half. we learned about our periods and what to do when we get them, we learned about our bodys and how they function when we menstrate and why, we also was educated on the male erection and how babies are conceived. 7th grade science class covered stds and condoms, 9th grade showed us an actual movie of a live birth, and covered all of those same topics again. plus I had lots of older siblings so I pretty much knew lots anyway. some people are not the bightest crayons in the box! it is somewhat annoying trying to lower myself to some of the questions so I can anwere them in a way they will understand. but thats why I am here. if its that annoying, I skip the answere and find another that is easily anwered and less attention seeking .

To everyone out there who is having sex...
Now if I remember correctly, I learnt all about sex in the 9th grade, how, what, when, where... birth control, stds, the whole bit...
Is there a reason kids today seem to be utterly clueless about this stuff?
