Tips for filming a wedding?

I am filming my sister's wedding and I want to make it the best possible with what I have.

My camcorder is a Sony Hi8 Handycam Vision CCD-TRV58. I am going to try to get the best out of it. I am thinking of using...

Avermedia MEZUSBGDR DVD EZMaker USB Gold Video Capture with an S video Cable.

I can not connect a mic to my camcorder. The sound quality is ok but I was thinking of getting a digital voice recorder and put it in some flowers next to the paster. Then I would upload it to my computer and edit it to the video.

Any more ideas?

Thanks

you could go around to everyone who comes to the wedding and ask them to say something nice about the bride/ husband/ couple
other than that
make sure you get lots of footage of the marrige, close ups for the really important bits, and experiment with differnt shots and angles maybe
