The minimum wage in your town?

What is the minimum where you live?
Its $9.14/hour here in san francisco, CA.

I think its $8.00/hour here in Ontario, Canada.
Which is ridiculous, they are trying to raise it to $10.00/hour.

im from western australia and here we have diferent minimum wages for diferent jobs. the lowest I heard of was 12.40 for cleaning. I pay my girls 18-20 regardless of age so they are happy.

In Ireland, adult Minimum wage is €8.65 an hour

Why would age make a difference? It really should not be considered when you pay someone.

the Australian dollar is 1.125AusD for each American dollar
the euro, which is what I believe(correct me if I am wrong) they use in ireland, is
0.686 for each american dollar.

dang here in Oklahoma its $5.85!

I'm from Texas, and since I've been gone, it has raised from $5.15 to almost $6 I heard... I live in the San Diego area and the minimum wage here just went up from $7.50 to $8 in January... I never realized how much of a difference $.50 could make (I'm used to states that have a "server" minimum wage as well, which is usually less than half of what the regular min. wage is)!

It must be diferent here in aus as we have wages that chabge with your age. example is if you are a 14 year old trolley boy you would be on about 8 dollars an hour and if you were 18 you might be on about 13 an hour. just an example. im not saying its right to pay people based on their ages I was just answering your question.
