Yes there is a probability of this world being destroyed. But as of right now, Scientist don't really see any need of concern.

Yes, the world will probably end. People have said for zillions of years that the first sign of human extinction will be the bees dying out, and guess what's happening? Yep, the bees are dying. It's December 12, 2012 that the Mayans ( I think that's who it was) said the world would end. So a lot of signs, because there are more that I can't think of, do actually point to the end of the world before too long.

According to God's Word, the Bible, Planet Earth will never "end" in the sense of being forever done away with. It will, however, be radically reshaped by God's creative fire into a planet, or world, much different than it is presently.

Jesus' disciples asked him in the Olivet discourse to tell them when the end of the world would come. Actually, they asked: when will be the end of the age? The question involved the end of human history as it had been known to that point. That age about which they questioned the Lord is still going on in our time.

Jesus answered by giving a list of prophetic signs that will precede His Second Coming. Christ indicated that the world, as it was then known, and is now known, would end when He returned. Revelation tells us that Jesus 'Millennial Kingdom will be the next "earth age."

It will last 1000 years, after which time the Great White Throne judgment will take place, where all lost people of all ages will be judged and sentenced to eternity apart from God. Hell is their final place of residence, from which there will be no escape.

Planet Earth will then be remade into something more glorious than can be imagined or described by the human mind, this side of Heaven.Peter, the apostle, through Divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, gives us just a glimpse of Earth's ultimate destiny:

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking forand hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a newearth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."(2 Peter 3: 10-13) God's Word promises:

"One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earthabides forever." (Ecclesiastes 1:4)

well..everything has an end..and I guess everyone can see the changes happening in our world right now..the weather, the floods and more calamities have occurred every year then the past years...but what we have to take into consideration as of the moment is what we have now, and what we're living for...worry yes, but it would be good if we worry and do something to make the best out of everything we have..do something good...
its like...its better to have a good ending story in your life than forever be affected by the end of it..when nobody knows when it will happen...right? hope it was of good help(",)

The sun will eventually enter the Red Giant phase, at which point it will be considerably larger and its heat too intense for any life on earth. Mercury and Venus, quite possibly, will cease to exist completely. Earth will probably survive.

After this, the sun will enter the White Dwarf phase. It's gravity will become such that the earth will be pulled into it and destroyed.

All of this is expected to happen 5 billion years from now.

Oh my god.. blah blah blah there's always some crazy scientist or theorist coming up with some crazy theory on how the earth is going to end as we know it. Sure it probably will some day but rather than sitting under my desk and worrying about it I'm just going to carry on... if it happens, it happens!
