I don't think we are heading toward a depression. Things are going to get tougher than they are now though. As redhotchic says, you need to find ways to reduce the amount of gasoline you use; gas prices are probably going to keep going higher.

My opinion on this always gets me in trouble.
Especially with my dad 'cause he likes to argue EVERY point I make.

I think that if the next president does their job the right way, things could get a lot better.
AS for gas prices.
WE need to get it from someplace else.
Drill here or something.

The sooner we get Bush out, the sooner the gas prices will go down, or at least, not rise.

I have heard that in Nov. they will reduse the gas price to 2.89 a gallon and put a block on it so that it can't go up anymore. If this is true then yeah it's not the greatest price but a lot better then 4.00 a gallon or even more as people are saying.I also heard gas will be going up to 7.00 a gallon by the end of summer..

Yeah, they could probably put a price cap on it.
Like milk.
There's a maximum price they can chrage for milk.
Because it's basically a necessity.
Gas and oil are too.
Without gas you can't get anywhere.

You may think you can live without oil.
But take it from me, it's horrible trying.
You freeze, you can't take a shower or do dishes.
We have to heat up pans of water to take a bath or wash the silverware and cups.
We just use paper plates.
We haven't had oil in a month and won't have any for at least another month.
So if you're like some people I know and think you can live without oil..
You really can't.
It's like, EXTREMELY hard to do.
