Teenage weight gain

boxing gloves Asked by bad2da_bone 4 months ago, 3 answers.

In the past about lets say 6 to 8 months I've gone from a size 6 to size 11. Its all fat. My self esteem has dropped dramatically and I cant fit into my old clothes anymore. The weight gain has even led to me feeling so down I dont even have the courage...

to go to the store to buy bigger clothes without breaking down in tears. I go to the gym but dont get results and dont feel any better. Im starting to look into diet pills to go along with my exercise.

So my question is how can I lose weight and feel better without making the wrong decisions?

Eat things in smaller portions, eat healthy (fruits, veggies, protein and a limited amount of carbs) and just keep workin out...its hard to lose weight and some people have medical problems that make it incredibly hard to either gain weight or lose it...that is a significant weight gain and you may want to see a doctor about it and have some blood tests done to see about your hormone level and other things (the doctor will know what to look for!)
In the mean time size 11 is still a juniors size so dont feel so bad about it, you dont have to change departments or anything you will still be able to buy some really cute clothes, some of the styles may not fit the same...youre still at a good weight so dont panic so much youll be fine remember just cut out the snakcing or the second portions!
hope that helped some

take my advice I went from a size 13 to a size 6 trust me
do not I repeat do not look into weight lost pills the best thing to do is:
1. run do more exercise not just at the gym do them as soon as you wake up do sit ups, do them midday, and before you go to sleep
2. do not eat before you go to bed and eat smaller healthier portions it is hard but eat salads for meal cut back a little but not all the way because your body needs nutrients
3. yoga and taebo this has whipped me into shape and kept me there and yoga is good for your mind body and soul try fun yoga though like yoga booty ballet tapes they really really work
I know all of this sounds hard and it is but you have to keep yourself motivated stay strong wake up and looke at yourself and say I can do this because life is what you make it you can do it

How to LOSE weight?

First, determine from the information below, what your weight should be. Then set yourself goals of a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself meeting your goals it becomes easier. Remember, you didn't gain your weight overnight so don't expect to lose if overnight. Plus, weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off than weight lost in a hurry.

"How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?"

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

"What should a minimum calorie intake be?"

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.
