Will anything happen if pee gets your tampon string wet?

this questin might be alittle stupid but.. im dumb so yeah . when you have a tampon on and you pee. and by accidenet you get the tampon string wet , will something happen. like do you have to change it cus . your urine got on it ?

if it worries you about getting your tampon string wet with urine then change it , I normally change it whenever I go to the loo.

Hello helpme1224. Your question is not stupid and you are not dumb. Urine is sterile. If a little bit gets on the string when using the bathroom, it will not hurt you. It may feel uncomfortable because it is wet laying against your skin. You do not have to change the tampon if it is not time to change unless you prefer to since the string will be wet. Make sure to practice good hygiene, wiping from front to back always and washing your hands after using the bathroom.

from a guys point of view you should change it

Usually during the time a tampon is in place, guys won't be visiting that area. So it doesn't really matter what a guy thinks. It is more about your comfort level and good hygiene.

Because tampons make your cycle irregular, and you cramp more with them, I try my best not to even wear them. But I agree with Monica- no you dont have to change it. Its a string, and a spot of pee will not make it change, or shift, or slide, nor will it feel uncomfortable.
Its actually up to you, and you can do whatever you want.

nothing bad will happen, but if you still aren't comfortable with pee on the string you can either change it when you go to the bathroom (although it may be too soon to change it and make it difficult to insert another one, which is why I try to wait a little longer to pee if I know I will be changing it soon) or you can even position the string out of the way so the pee doesnt hit it but there are no health concerns so if you dont mind pee on the string just go for it! I sometimes even dry it off a little haha
