Suicidal people

I hate it when people say that suicidal people are "poor me, woe is me" people lost in self-pity. That is not true. There are TRULY suicidal people, some are looking for attention, but most aren't. Also they can't just "snap out of it". Who else hates...

suecidel people are uselly people who are like what the hell is the point of living?
all I ever do is work and work and for what? so I can die whith people saying I was a good person so now I have decided its not worth my effort il just die now. either that
or people who had there hearts broken and feel like theres no point of living

I think people should try to help those who re in danger of being suicidal. Its very serious. I do hate it when human beings are left out to dry by the rest of society just because they may have some internal issues. That only means that they need people to help them more at that time so they can get through whatever hard times they have to. We all need to realize that the person to your left or right is a human being. Sombody's mum or child. They have lives and families just like you. Just because you don't feel their pain doesn't mean its not there.

actually, I dont judge people for being suicidal, I dont know if theyre faking it, but I KNOW some people have faked it because they're desparate for attention, and even then I dont judge them for that, xxk1mm etc

I dont mean you. I'm saying all those who blow them off like a piece of garbage. It makes me sick!

A lot of times, it's some of the best people that commit suicide. It's the same with drug addicts. A lot of them are good people who just had problems or made a bad decision.

Even if people may cry wolf and mention suicide a lot, they still should be taken seriously, even if they are doing it for attention and, especially, if they do it for attention. They're reaching out for some reason. Normal people don't do that.

I also hate it when people such as "emos" cry wolf, and waste help resources on themselves, especially when so many others need the help, and most people dont go for help, its too embarassing, and I know some good people good grades, happy that have killed themselves, looks can be very deceiving.

At the end of the day, even people crying wolf need attention... otherwise they wouldnt be talking about it in the first place. I admit, it used to get to me, people who cut, or who "tried to kill themselves" but were actually just looking for attention. Then I realized, you dont cry for attention for nothing... They need help. Just like everyone else.

To be honest, I hate suicide. I think its selfish. I do feel for the person involved but the act itself makes me sick.
I fully understand that someone can feel like there is no point and want to end it but dont they care about the effect it has on the people left behind?
We all have our crosses to bear, our own personal problems, but suicide is a cowards way out. I've been very low before, I've had big problems, but suicide was never an option because I wouldn't do it to my family.

I have been touched by suicide, I know what effect it has on those left behind. There is a bad trend of teen suicides in Ireland at the moment. Stupid kids thinking they can be glorified in some way by suicide. Well NO. I wont glorify it or accept it. Its selfish and stupid.

No, suicide is not selfish. Don't judge until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Often times suicidal people feel like no one would care if they died. So they are not only thinking of themselves. Another thing that bugs me is when people say to the suicidal "go out and help yourself" when often times they can't. Just a tip: Don't remind someone of people who are worse off then they are, or that they shouldnt be like that, it adds unnecessary guilt, you're just making them feel like dirt.

I really dont want to offend anyone here nor do I wish to judge them. All I have is my own experience. I have had times in my life where it felt like there was no point. I have felt pain, but I'm not naive enough to think that my pain was any worse than anyone elses. At some point in your life, EVERYONE will fell lost and hurt and helpless, my point is... no, my view is, that if you just give up and end it, your only thinking about your own suffering... that, in my opinion, is selfish.

People dont think their pain is worse than anyone elses. They simply dont think they can cope with that pain. And it is hard to think about anyone else when you're in pain. Also a lot of times, you dont think other people will care, or you think they'll be better off without you. It obviously isnt true, but when you're in that much pain, you're not thinking straight. You cant judge someone based on the way you're thinking... Their thinking is obviously quite different if they are willing to go to such extreme measures...

I honestly do know what its like to be so close to commiting the undoable, and when your in that moment, you(well I do) dont think about those involved, you think whatever, what I think in that moment is what if my life is just a lie, and the whole world ends if I die, and your like what have I got to lose?

I know what you mean!! for a long time I was highly suicidal and I used to hate it when people when come to school and be like "oh boo hoo, my boyfriend of 3 days broke up with me so I think ill kill myself" and then all their friends would go running and its just like annoying because they avert ateention from those who really need help and they make people take those who are really sucidal less seriously.
