How to help my friend whose computer is missing windows files?

control panel was deleted
you cant change like any settings at all
sound just went out
and it doesnt have usb 2.0 so I cant put my wireless adapter in it from my comp to update it the only part of ie working is theres an icon
can I help my friend
or did I find fire plastic?

id reccomend your friend to buy another hardrive for her laptop for a start, they arent expensive these days, but if she isnt sussed with pc's, then get a professional to put it in for her. Also do you or her have a copy of windows Xp operating system? theyre really handy to have and not complicated to install, if you download illigally you can get one from a torrent site. good luck

F8 when first starting and try to log on as administrator.

just put the system cd in and run it. It will reinstall everything. I got a virus a month ago and cleared out my whole system and replaced it . No big deal

f8 did not bring me where it said and del during start up was setup for the laptop company and it would bring me into a weird thing not setup so I went into administrative tools and comp management and made my friend and account altoug I could not make him an admin so then I could log on to the new account sys vol was offf so I fixed that set game to run in 32 instead o16 bit I did the 32 - 16 and the vol in control panel on the new non admin and then contorl panel was gone after next login and his pic is a rainbow and he cant change it lol he cant but I find it amusing and wont tell him how to do it and control.exe wont work and it was a gov comp aparently and microsoft said contact the bis. where it was from orginally and so I called my frien who owned it he said call the guy I got it from the comp idiot and he said they went under and he cant rember if it had xp on it already or if he installed it any way jer got his laptop back and kikes it cause theres sound and I made him happy and he wants to pay me for it but I said let me come over to your house and swim on the first triple digit day this summer and swim so thats my reward
