Spotting after taking the day after pill

I took the day after pill on saturday.

now its friday and I started bleeding a little. is that normal?

You will proberbly get a light or normal period after taking that. Did you feel sick with it? Dont forget you still have to have a pregnancy test after 2 weeks I think it is.

no I didn't feel sick, I just felt like peeing, so I did. and when I looked down it looked like I started my period.

but I don't get it, THAT FAST? I mean I had my period that time when we did it, and I finished it two days after.

Thats proberbly why it wont be heavy. if you had only just finished your period then your body hasnt had time to make a complete new linning yet. It will be ok I assure you. Just rest and relax. Did the docor sugest you take the morning after pill or do you buy it over the counter where you are. In australia we have to get it from a doctor.

Bigmuma, in the US you can get it from any pharmacy by showing proof of age 18+.The law was changed fairly recently.

well in oahu, you can get it for free at the plan parenthood clinic. I got it there.

Yes it's normal. The morning after pill is like a high dose of birth control.

It thickens your cervical mucous to slow down any active sperm and prevents a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine lining (which may also cause it to shed - causes you to bleed.)
