Sony playstation 3 is not playing blu ray?

I can't believe that the PS3 is really going to keep from playing the format onto a TV. That was a huge incentive to buy the PS3 for me. Is it really true? Any recently laid off Sony employees in the house?

No, the playstation will be able to play movies to the television. I think the confusion was that they may not include the special HD cable to connect the unit to your compatible hi-def tv set. You'd have to pick that up locally yourself at any electronics store.

the HD cable will be sold seperatly but the ps3 will include a blu-ray player!!!!!!

now you just have to wait till march to get it
